Prince Alton Mistwood
One of the founding progenitors of the Aeldred
Prince Alton is one of the two founding progenitors of the Principality of Aeldred and the Royal Family of Aeldred. Being born the youngest of the the Royal Family of the mortal Kingdom of Aeldred, he was given leave to studies in the Orders of Merit. He was found to have an unusual propensity for Magical philosophies…too much to be normal, by the accounts of some of the senior adepts. it was unofficialy decided that he would not be allowed to advance in accordance with the cadence of his developement, lest he userp the positions of the highest Thegns before he had even aquired his first whiskers. So it was that he often found himself at odds with his superiors, becoming bored and restless, and slipping from the surepititious lessons and excercises to engage more earthy pursuits amongst the peasents and lesser Gentry of the castle’s retinue. Feeling a great affinity to growing things, the soil, the mechinations of the insects pollinating and the infinite movements within nature, he often found himself amongst the farmers who, though always defering to him as a Royal Prince, none the less welcomed him as a delightful youth whose presence seemed to enhance any situation or occassion. When his homeland was invaded and conquered, and his family slaughtered, he alone evaded capture, fleeing into the adjacent forest. While a vagabond of the woods, he wandered too close to the Sidhe and was lured inside to take refuge from a terrible storm. There he found great hospitality and was offered much food and drink, but being wise beyond his years he politely refused to partake, until he was deceived to taste wine from the kiss of his Fae host. Though under enthrallment by the enchantment of the Sidhe, his nature worked naturally to enthrall his host, who fell hopelessly in love with the mortal Prince. The two were wedded in the tradition of the Fae and begain their family of half fae descendants. As he was the legitimate heir to Royal House of Aeldred but with his lands forsaken, he retained his princely title as ruler of that House. He proclaimed his mate as his royal equal and co-ruler, and the two conceived and founded The Principality of Aeldredwood. They ruled together for many years but though the Fae are immortal they are not exempt from change, and bye and bye Prince Altons beloved slipped away into more ethereal dimensions. The mortal Prince lived on unaging by the timelesness of the Sidhe and the nature of Fae nourishments, but without the company of his beloved, he grew wan. He made formal abdication from his throne in favor of his heir, and drank of a powerful Fae potion to fall into a deep sleep. There in the Sidhe, he yet sleeps, waking only occassionally to when needed for a brief visit, then falling back into his dreaming.
